DUBLIN, Ohio (December 3, 2014) – Jason Straka, a principal in Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design (www.frystraka.com), will be a featured guest Dec. 9 at 4:15 p.m. EST on “Inside the Ropes” on Sirius XM PGA Tour Radio. The show will be broadcast live from the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) Conference and Show, and The Ohio State University Green Industry Short Course, to be held Dec. 9-11 in Sandusky, Ohio. As an OTF Trustee and member of the OTF Education Committee, Straka helped plan this year’s conference education sessions. In addition, he chairs OTF’s Buckeyes for Environmental Sustainable Turfgrass (BEST) Committee.

“I look forward to participating in the OTF Conference and Show,” Straka said. “This is one of the most important turfgrass events to be held on an annual basis, and it will be an honor to share some of the conference’s initiatives with PGA Tour Radio listeners.”

On the radio segment, Straka will discuss the conference’s expanded professional education offerings, additional OTF benefits, as well as his profession of golf course architecture.

The OTF is one of the largest state turfgrass organizations in the U.S. Attending the Conference & Show will be turfgrass professionals not only from Ohio, but also from Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ontario, Canada. They will represent a variety of positions, including golf course superintendents, sports field managers, turfgrass researchers and scientists, corporate lawn and landscape professionals, lawn and landscape business owners and turfgrass industry vendors.

The mission of the Ohio Turfgrass Foundation is to promote the turfgrass industry in Ohio; encourage the further study, research and education of turfgrass science; and speak on matters of policy affecting the turfgrass industry.
